Intussusception is the most common cause of intestinal obstruction in infants between 3 and 9 months; it is also very common in children under two years of age. The objective is to achieve early diagnosis in the greatest number of cases and avoid emergency
surgery and its complications with a non-operative treatment method. We present the case of a 4-month-old infant with uncomplicated intussusception, who was positive in a rapid test for the SARS-CoV-2 virus, treated by hydrostatic reduction with physiological saline solution. The procedure allowed the reduction of the intussusception and the patient was discharged satisfactorily seven days after admission.
